We hope this notice finds you and your family in good health. Our community has seen unimaginable changes the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our new normal. Many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to the health and safety of our patients.
Infection control has always been a top priority in my practice and our infection control processes are made so when you receive care it is in both safe and in a comfortable manner. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep our patients and staff safe.
Our office has always followed infection control guidelines established by the Center of Disease Control, American Dental Association and OSHA, which includes practicing universal precautions. There are now increased guidelines put forth by the CDC and ADA due to the Covid-19 virus.
You will notice increased personal protection equipment (PPE} worn by our dental team members – I.e. N-95 masks, level 3 surgical masks, face shields, Isolation gowns and head coverings where deemed necessary.
We have also invested in an Air Purifier unit which traps small viral particles such as Covid-19, based on photocatalytic oxidation technology.
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand by phone when confirming your appointment, to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
- You may see that our reception area will no longer offer magazines, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
- We are allowing greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.
